Interesting that it has 8GB of RAM... which is the same as my Mac Mini. (New Mac Minis now start at 16GB of memory, though.)

Between this and the Switch 2 rumoring to start at 12 GB of RAM, it's starting to get ridiculous how much we can throw inside budget machines.

Is that a good display? For $100 it's not a bad option as an external display if it is compatible with a laptop as well.

Most are no-name Chinese fly by night “brands” but there’s a few big name options like ASUS mixed in too. Might be worth putting some time into shopping around.

My thought as well. There are downsides in low brightness (250nits) and no touch, but for the price I will likely be buying it for just keeping it in a drawer ready to be used. It's still 15.6"...

It's still 15.6" FullHD screen with speakers that is powered from USB (ideally powerbank or adapter, but can run from RPi/laptop with lower brightness and volume) and has HDMI input.

It's a standard HDMI monitor, so it should Just Work with most setups. You just have to decide if you're OK with white bezels, aesthetically.

I was looking at it in pishop.ca and noticed that there's a black version "coming soon". I kind of like the red/white combo personally, but I guess a part of that is just me supporting the brand....

If it's a display that works for you in the moment, then it's a good display. I might pick one up for an older Roku to free up a monitor I was using for laundry room entertainment.
