Internet scavenger hunt (experimental)

Hello, I would like people to try and find the following:

  • An image of someone using a bag phone that is not a stock photo, or an advertisement photo, or a photo from reference websites (such as Wikipedia).

  • A recipe that is being presented as an original, or family secret, that is actually the recipe on the back of a box or otherwise publicly known (cannot be a reference to the Friends episode). I will allow personal anecdotes (no points will be awarded, this would just be for my amusement).

  • An idea that is published for something that was later patented or otherwise protected under IP, that was published BEFORE the patented time, and the person is not the patent/IP holder. This is a two part find, because you must present the IP as well as the previously published idea.

Those are the only ones I have on the top of my head, I'm open to other people adding "find me" type things, in the same spirit, which is fun.

Please spoiler your results so that others can try it out, before seeing yours.

    Lasagna recipe

Okay so when I was a teenager growing up in church, there was this small group of teens that met on Wednesday nights for a "bible study". Really it was a few minutes of bible talk then we'd just play video games the rest of the hour. Well every now and then our group leader's wife would bring us lasagna from home. Or we'd watch the Skins (now Commanders) game after church at their house and she'd make us a huge thing of lasagna. The point being we all LOVED her lasagna. We all hyped that lasagna up as god's gift the culinary world.

So one time I went home and was telling my mom how good this lasagna was. Now, my mom didn't do much of the cooking growing up, that usually fell to my dad. But when my mom cooked it was usually lasagna, and she made damn good lasagna. I assured her that hers was amazing as well, but this lasagna was still incredible. So my mom ended up talking to this lady and asked her what the recipe was because I guess she wanted to try to make it that way so we could all check it out.

    ...

It was Stouffer's frozen lasagna. And somehow over the years none of us noticed. We were often in the house while she made it and none of us questioned it or realized it. Granted, none of us (being teenage boys) cared to ask how she made it. And I don't think she even ever tried to pass it off as her own creation. It was just something relatively quick she could heat up to feed a bunch of teenagers.

And 20+ years later I cannot live that moment down. My mom still gives me grief for it. To this day when my mom makes lasagna and gives my wife and I some, she apologizes to me for it not being as good as "<that woman's name>'s lasagna".

That woman, on the rare occasion that I see her, also teases me about it. In fact she and her husband were at my wedding and she told the story during the reception. To be clear, I don't actually mind. It's just this mildly embarrassing moment from my teens that I'm stuck having to remember for the rest of my life :)

Not a Motorola Bag Phone specifically, but a similar concept from the same era. The first thing I thought of was Danny Glover's character in Lethal Weapon, Murtaugh, making a mobile phone call using a Nokia/Mobira Actionman phone.

    bag phone/car phone

Found a page with a video discussing various car phones (aka, bag phones), especially Motorolas. The still taken from the video is specifically of a man using a motorola car/bag phone.
