I’ve been following this proposal for a while, and frankly I’ll believe it when I see it. Scot Matteson doesn’t strike me as the sort of person who can see a project like this through to completion. Beyond that it doesn’t make any economic sense. I’m mostly concerned this is going to go the way of Ryugyong Hotel, the massive unfinished eyesore that loomed over Pyongyang for decades like a ziggurat of raw exposed concrete.
Oklahoma City is actually a pretty cool place currently undergoing dramatic revitalization. There are some surprisingly beautiful and interesting things to see and do there. Decent emerging food scene too. I’d love for the Legends Tower to further fuel growth and interest in the city, but it’s hard for me to imagine it becoming anything more than a laughingstock. Hope I’m wrong.
For reference this is about 200-300m/800ishft shorter than the Burj Khalifa. I know this is not a very useful reference, but its the first question i thought of.

More usefully, it is 6⅓ football fields (or 5 5/18 football fields with end zones). Well...almost. It's 7 feet more than that (that's 7/300 of a football field).
