While I am not the biggest fan of Walmart, anyone willing to give Amazon some real competition has my support.

Indeed, I never thought that Walmart would become the lesser of two evils.

It will include perks like same-day delivery of groceries and general merchandise

I think this might be the feature that might make Walmart's subscription service a viable competitor to Amazon Prime.

Amazon seems to have Amazon Fresh/Amazon Whole Food and both of them are not supported in large swaths of the country yet. If Walmart is able to support same-day grocery delivery across the country with this, it would be a huge point in favor of it. Especially in the current quarantine-climate!

Edit: Wonder how this would compare against services like instacart as well!

Yep, but makes sense that they have to do it since they don't have a music or streaming service that they can offer as a bundle like Amazon.
