Reading the article, it occurred to me that there are very few companies that could compete on Amazon's level. Wal-Mart is one of them, so I guess this kind of thing was inevitable really.
I think this might be the feature that might make Walmart's subscription service a viable competitor to Amazon Prime. Amazon seems to have Amazon Fresh/Amazon Whole Food and both of them are not...

Amazon seems to have Amazon Fresh/Amazon Whole Food and both of them are not supported in large swaths of the country yet. If Walmart is able to support same-day grocery delivery across the country with this, it would be a huge point in favor of it. Especially in the current quarantine-climate!
Edit: Wonder how this would compare against services like instacart as well!

Yep, but makes sense that they have to do it since they don't have a music or streaming service that they can offer as a bundle like Amazon.
