    If you're ever passing through New Brunswick, Canada, there's a small museum/exhibit called Potato World near the local McCain factory (one of the largest of the 4 companies listed).

    I visited a few years ago, and they had a good amount of info about the modern "Big Potato industry", including bragging about the huge market-share of french fries McCains supplies worldwide.

    I can't remember specifics now, but I was completely unshocked about the news of the lawsuit given there areso few companies to compete.

      As someone who grew up in Atlantic Canada, I was always proud to eat McCains products, knowing they were a local business and bought up most of the potatoes grown in the Atlantic provinces. As an adult I'm just "wtf they own everything potato and more".
