For anyone like me, who is wondering about the setting "high republic era", it is an era of 200 years-ish length that ended about 80 years before Yavin and 40 years before Anakin's birth. It is the golden age of the republic we see fall in the prequels. The sith are thought to be completely extinct.
Well that was just about the last company I would have figured would do a licensed game. I might actually pick this one up for a spin (after it's heavily discounted).

IKR? Totally unexpected, but TBH I think Star Wars actually suits them due to their typically narrative and cinematic heavy focus, and especially this particular setting (High Republic era) since...

Totally unexpected, but TBH I think Star Wars actually suits them due to their typically narrative and cinematic heavy focus, and especially this particular setting (High Republic era) since it should give them way more creative freedom. And thanks to Quantic being behind this, it's the first time I have been genuinely excited about the prospect of an upcoming Star Wars game in a very very long time. The last time I remember that happening was with Republic Commando and Battlefront II, both from 2005. :/

There are huge swaths of that trailer that I cannot tell if it's CGI or practical effects/makeup. Incredibly well done.
For those that missed it, this was announced back in December during the Game Awards 2021.
