By freeing Dota's update and content cycle from the timing and structural constraints of the Battle Pass, we can go back to making content in the way we know best: by coming up with fun ideas of all scales and shapes, and exploring them with you.

Hopefully this will lead to a spreading out of the money (since it's all piled up on winning TI), but we'll see i guess.
They already ripped the band-aid of not topping the precious year prizepool last year and now with no Battle Pass this will be a great excuse to reduce expectation for TI being a massive record...

The tournament being so big compared to the rest of the season always created this situation where just qualifyin for TI might be more important than winning or placing high during a major which I always found weird.
I hope that this change will help make the scene more balanced and hopefully not just remove the total amount of money all year round, but maybe I'm just day dreaming.
