It's a fun game played with just the left and right mouse buttons where you battle waves of enemies with precision timed hits.
It's not a very complex game but I remember it being very fun and perhaps a bit different from the things you are playing.

Hello Tildes, I wanted to share with you a project that I have been working on for quite some time and have finally released.
63 is a modern version of the classic public domain party game known by many names, but listed on wikipedia as Celebrity. (Some people might know it as Hat Game, Fishbowl or by some of its commercial versions such as Time's Up or Monikers)
The game works exactly like all these other games except you only need your phone to play it, no pen and paper or decks of cards required. The game is pass-and-play so only one phone is needed for a any size group.
For this initial release, the english version of the game only has 2 packs of cards available to choose from (General and Celebrities) but my goal is to add more packs and create a platform where anyone can create and share their own packs of cards.
You can download the game now on Android or on iOS.
For those not familiar with the rules I'll leave a brief explanation below but inside the game there's a more comprehensive rule section and tutorial.
GAME RULES:
A random deck of cards is generated for each game based on the packs chosen. Each card represents a concept and the objective of the game is for teams to guess as many cards as possible.
Two teams take it in turns to guess cards. Each turn is 63 seconds long and the player from the active team holds the phone and gives clues to their teammates.
There are three rounds, each with different rules for giving clues:
ROUND 1 - Forbidden words
You can’t use words from the card’s titleROUND 2 - Only one word!
You can't make sounds or gestures nor use any word in the card titleROUND 3 - Charades!
Words are forbidden, only gestures and sounds are allowedAt the end of the three rounds the team with the most points wins!
This is one of the first places I've shared the project in, especially for a global audience (since the game is also fully in portuguese), so any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Hope you enjoy 63!6 votes -

I know it's been said before a million times but I can't read a blanket statement like this and not point it out. The reason is not Android and iPhone customers desperately wanting to have better communication between platforms, that problem has been solved years ago by all the multi-platform chat apps.
What it makes clear, at least to me, is that the iMessage lock in is really strong, specifically in the US. So strong that people with Android phones are willing to try any app that allows them to chat with their friends who are so locked in to this system that are completely unwilling to try any other messaging solution that is not the default.

I'm a perfectionist and want it to be exactly as I envisioned it because I truly believe that these days you only get one shot to make an impression on someone. If they don't like the game on the first try they're not coming back in 6 months to see if it's improved.
Since I'm really close to what I would call acceptable for an initial release, still have to do a lot of final tweaks and the drudge tasks of finishing a project, I have given myself an artificial deadline.
Invited a bunch of friends for a party and I'll announce that I'm releasing the game to them at that date. Since doing this I've been extra motivated to finally give to my friends the app they have helped me test for so long and always ask me when is ready.
I've been grinding hard these past weeks to achieve this deadline as I really want to finally finish this project and be able to share this thing I poured countless hours of my time into with the world.

The place for the protest was not at random to rally or annoy against regular people:
The Swedish climate campaigner had joined other activists outside the InterContinental Hotel on Park Lane where oil executives were meeting.
Even her statement in the article is saying the same things as you:
"People all over the world are suffering and dying from the consequences of the climate crisis caused by these industries who we allow to meet with our politicians and have privileged access to."
She is literally there trying to argue for industries to change their behaviour, which supposedly is your argument.
My arguement is still that if industry changed their behaviour it would change ours
Why would her means of travel be important? Everyone living in modern western society is harming the environment, either directly or indirectly, Greta moving to the middle of the woods and living a complete net zero life would do absolutely nothing about climate change.
She does however have a platform and is a face of a movement, protesting and trying to raise awareness of what is happening (in this case oil executives meeting with the government officials) is at least something positive, even if she had to sit on a plane on her way there.

Every time someone drives, they contribute to the traffic that inconveniences everyone else.
Your original comment suggests that public transit can't offer freedom of movement. Yet, in heavily congested cities, cars don't provide the freedom you mentioned either. Trips become much lengthier due to traffic jams.
While it's not up to individuals to overhaul transportation systems, dismissing public transit based on its current flaws means accepting perpetual traffic as the norm. But traffic congestion isn't inevitable.
True freedom lies in reliable public transport. In cities with punctual trains, you don't hear complaints about the hassles of public transit. A comprehensive, frequent, and reliable network defines freedom. It means navigating public spaces without the need for an expensive machine.

When the GDPR laws came into effect and everyone added those cookie banners asking if they can track you, some smaller websites (I only remember a recipe sharing website) straight up didn't work in the EU and gave you a message saying because of the new mandates they stopped operating here. Leaving is always an option but you lose a big demographic of wealthy countries you can monetize.
If some of these giant tech companies did in fact choose to leave then that creates a n opportunity for an EU equivalent replacement to step in and fill the gap in the market which I would be more than happy to see.

It is proven that widening roads induces demand, even if they had the space to add one lane each way to every road you'd just be kicking the current problem 5-10 years down the line when the amount of throughput induced by this change reaches the new capacity of the system.
The only viable solution for urban environments is to push and incentivise more efficient modes of transport. Until people realize that they can't drive their big metal box everywhere within a city we'll never get rid of traffic and congestion.

I definitely don't use it for everything but I found for some tasks it turns them from writing code to editing and tweaking which saves a lot of time.
And this doesn't even take into account when the AI suggests something new I didn't know or a solution I wouldn't have thought off that after reading makes more sense than what my approach would have been.
It's not replacing me, but as a tool that I can yield to be faster at delivering I believe it's incredibly useful.

Comment on DOTA 2 will not have a Battle Pass for the International 2023 in ~games

The tournament being so big compared to the rest of the season always created this situation where just qualifyin for TI might be more important than winning or placing high during a major which I always found weird.
I hope that this change will help make the scene more balanced and hopefully not just remove the total amount of money all year round, but maybe I'm just day dreaming.

If you're interested in the topic they're pretty good and reminiscent of his old reporting.
He's now moved on to the new show but kept the same feed, probably to retain the listenership he already had since this is a more independent production after leaving Gimlet.

I think it's just an easy movie to get into. The fact that the story and themes are really simple and it has something that appeals to everyone (action, romance, family, incredible scenery) just makes this movie really easy to watch for any audience member.
I wouldn't call it my movie of the year but given it's success it's clear to me that Cameron wants to make something that can appeal to the most number of people and spread his easy to follow environmental message and not he isn't trying to wow film critics or win any accolade that isn't special effects.

However I do believe that better solutions that use significantly less power are worth investing in and developing.
This answer on the cardano subreddit is one of the best examples of some of the positives a decentralised system could have on the world that go beyond the usual "its money but no banks".

I remember seeing somewhere that a lot of young men (especially white men) are told on the internet that they've got it 'easier' and that women have all these obstacles and when they are confronted with problems in their life, most of them societal problems, they completely reject the notion and feel that they are themselves victims and are having a harder time.
I think this disconnect makes them antagonize anyone that believes in these ideas or fights for women's equality, and there are a lot of people on the internet ready to capitalize on this rejection and tell these boys that why they have it worse is because of women, or minorities, or immigrants, or whatever the new scary thing is.
Everyone can notice that things are not as 'easy' as they used to be, be it finding a job, or buying a house, or finding a partner but I think young boys are being sold this idea that the problem is not the system itself but those who want to change the system that used to benifit them.
