Does anyone here watch Valorant e-sports?
Having moved away from Reddit, one of the communities I miss most is r/ValorantCompetitive. I’ll probably end up slogging through the main reddit interface just for the post match threads there.
I was wondering if anyone else here follows the scene. If so, how do you keep up with it? Reddit, VLR, elsewhere ?

I posted the new Deadlock trailer the other day but only got a couple of comments, sadly! I personally fell off the game after casually playing/watching since beta, but I recently watched Masters 1 and loved it, even though the time zone was bad for me.
I'd love to talk Valorant eSports for sure! Maybe we can make threads for seasons or majors or something, that might get people interested. I will warn that I'm a very biased 100 Thieves/NA in general fan though :)
Edit: to answer your question, I've been feeling like/r/valorancompetitive has really just been reused memes and jokes and not much actual value, so I've been just checking vlr for match scores and YouTube for highlights if I'm not watching the full match.

I agree r/valcomp isn’t necessarily great for day-to-day but I love the post match threads.
Maybe I’ll try reposting those over here and see if it gets any discussion traction 👀
Haha oops! Yeah I'm not the best with names but good to know there's at least one person interested! I feel like for me at least I'd be willing to help post for the season, maybe like a thread for the whole season and a thread for the major so it's not cluttering up everything, but it would be fun to see who might get involved.
Totally agree. What were your fav matchups from Masters ? I saw you said you’re a 100T fan but obviously they didn’t go so who were you rooting for ? EG / NRG ?
If 100T isn't there then I'm just an NA fan basically! EG did amazing, always proud of Ethan, and FNS's stratting is always so fun to watch. I'm also a fan of DRX when they play, even though they didn't do so well this tourney. In EU it's really hard to root against Boaster lol. I think I'm just a fan of watching good valorant, even while 100T keeps shitting the bed.

I love DRX, I really wanted them to finally succeed, but alas. Like you I can’t help but love Boaster. Such a fun personality, great for the scene. I was pulling for NRG (I miss Marved though 😭) but I’m never mad to see Fnatic win. They looked phenomenal.
The EG vs. FNC in the upper bracket was just insanity, EG got so close to pulling it off

I've been playing Paladins casually. How does that compare to valorant?
They’re extremely different, I’m not sure I could even really compare them. Valorant is a tactical shooter. 1 headshot kills (low TTK in general), silence is important, map control is slowly earned. Similar to CSGO, if you’ve played that.
Paladins is much more chaotic. More action, less chess.

Like @phoenixrises I also played the beta but then didn't play or follow the game at all until recently. Watched Masters Tokyo and have been getting back into it
I played the beta, and haven’t stopped playing yet 😂 That game is mighty addictive.
My friends and I are going to champs LA this year and I am super excited.
