Nebulous: Fleet Command
Anybody else play? Nebulous scratches a very particular itch that I didn't know I had. It's sort of like The Expanse meets The Hunt For Red October. The learning curve is fairly long - it doesn't take much to get the basics, but mastering EWAR, missiles, etc takes some work.
I've played and liked it. Wrote about it a bit here.
At some point playing it got replaced by trying to create a new faction ship mod for a month or two. But I am no good at texturing models so never finished that project, and didn't get back into the game afterwards.
It’s one of those games that I’m glad exists but I’m not good at.
Edit- Now that i have some time to expand:
I adore the concept and am glad it exists. The learning curve is pretty damn rough unfortunately, with a lot to take in, and not many guide rails to get you started (I played when it came out so maybe things have changed). That hurdle combined with the concern it was going to be changing in its early days left me waiting to see what changes would come, and just haven't gone back yet.
Any good footage/guides/players to watch for if I do decide to get back in? My year is pretty slammed but it is something on my list.
