Self distribution is an interesting choice, especially since it's only Epic exclusive in that it's not on another store.
If you're releasing DRM-free anyhow it's a no-brainer to also offer direct to avoid the storefront cut for those so inclined.
Obviously, but I'm more interested that Epic went along with allowing them to direct distribute as long as it wasn't on Steam.
