EVO fighting game news round up
This past weekend was EVO, the largest fighting game tournament in the world. This year the largest esports event in the world. Alongside all of world class international competition came a ton of trailers of what's coming next to the genre. Instead of just flooding the ~games group, I'm going to be compiling as much info as I can here.

Pretty great year for the most part. Whatever your game it looked like the finals were great, and SF3 was fucking wild for a game that's not only ancient, but notorious for having extremely brutal top tiers.
Ancient?! What do you mean, I was playing it at the arcade just a couple
years... er decades ago. Either way, it warms my heart to see that Third Strike is still being played at Evo and in my opinion it continues to be the best SF game of all time.I'm glad 3S put on a show. People were not particularly impressed by it's showing at EVO Japan earlier this year, so I think that this was a pretty big W for that scene. Hayao getting up there with Hugo, whilst having the best stage presence of the event certainly did some heavy lifting there.
Of any event. But yeah it wasn't just a Hugo doing well, but lots of varied representation. I figured top 6 would be chun/yun/ken city and it wasn't that at all.
