Does anyone have experience with any of the games and, if so, would you recommend them? Is there anything in here that you're particularly excited to play?
Cassette Beasts is really fun! I still need to go back and finish it, but it's really refreshing and has a pretty unique setting. I went into it thinking it would be a monster collector a la PokΓ©mon, but you transform into them instead. The types are pretty unique and well balanced, and have some cool interactions (like sand can be turned to glass by fire-type moves). The creature design is also very nice!
I've heard mixed opinions about Darktide from 40k fans, but as somebody who knows little about the franchise I had a blast just jumping into it to play with friends. Both Darktide and Vermintide are just good stupid coop fun if you have a couple friends that want to struggle through what is essentially a hardcore version of the left 4 dead gameplay loop. I wouldn't recommend it for single player though.
Darktide is a lot better than it used to be but it always had a stellar atmosphere and music.
I feel like a lot of fans were dissapointed about how pre release they addvertised that Dan Abdnett is writing the story for the game, but outside of a few bits of lore the story is so minimal that an unpaid intern could have done equally good job at it.
