I played the hell out of Payday: The Heist and Payday 2 with my friends... until Overkill/Starbreeze basically ruined PD2 with the micro-transaction BS, and their ridiculous, never-ending, micro-DLC strategy. I never played Payday 3 though, which was unsurprisingly a total fucking disaster at launch, and is supposedly still not great.
However, 10 Chambers is lead by Ulf Andersson, the original creator/designer of PDTH/PD2 who actually left Overkill shortly after the PD2 launch (supposedly due to "creative differences", AKA disapproving of all the predatory monetization strategies)... so I have high hopes that Den of Wolves will scratch the itch I've been feeling for a new co-op heist game ever since I stopped playing PD2!
I'm pretty excited for this game. I'm not huge on Payday, but I have huge faith in 10 chambers. When I first heard of GTFO, I loved the pitch. A horror co-op game that is relentlessly difficult...

When I first heard of GTFO, I loved the pitch. A horror co-op game that is relentlessly difficult and requires intense coordination to succeed. To that end, I think 10c knocked it out of the park. GTFO was such a unique game that was excellent in nearly everything it set out to do. Don't get me wrong, the game had issues (off the top of my head, their interaction with the community and mods, and bugs here and there). GTFO was also such a daring move - the difficulty that it sought out to achieve risked turning away a good amount of players. And that it did. But they maintained their hardcore focus throughout regardless.

I'll definitely be buying this when it's out!
