As a long (LONG) time PoE enjoyer, I am quite excited about the changes coming alongside Mirage league. The endgame atlas changes are incredible, more and more QOL every league, new/updated skill gems, new/updated supports..... the mind churns with ideas for all the builds and strategies I want to try out!

I don't get as much time these days to bash full-on into gaming like I used to, but I expect I'll be getting a fair amount of enjoyment out of the league!

I wasn't going to play this league because I've got important exams in May that I need to study for, but you bet I'm going to use my limited downtime for Poe instead of other things, lol

After the most recent Phrecia event where I got ARPG-burnout before I really did much endgame (not Phrecia or PoE's fault, just have been playing too much ARPG stuff), I wasn't sure if I'd be ready to jump back into PoE again, but there's so much good stuff in 3.28 I don't think I'll be able to avoid it.

There's so MANY changes and so many incredible shake-ups and QOL and so on that the game is going to feel very different and very much the same at the same time-which is what they were aiming for- leaving the "core" that people enjoy there but making some massive changes this time around.

Excited for the new atlas, and the "PoE2 waystones but good" change, as well as all sorts of things. They got me again!

Oddly enough, I had just re-downloaded PoE1 two days ago and then yesterday saw the new league video from GGG and got me even more excited. I've been playing PoE2 off and on for a bit and love it (after a few updates) but I've been playing a few hours of PoE1 after a long time away and it's still really fun too! I never did all of the end-game stuff (I would just start new characters after completing the story lol) but looking forward to that now. Wonder if I should hold off so I can start fresh for the new League...

It's kind of amazing they're still updating this game in my mind. Didn't it come out 10+ years ago or did I imagine that?

Edit - just looked it up and October will be 13 years since it's official release! Holy moly!

I've been playing for a really long time and I'm still enamored with it. I was a huge d2 player (still am, gonna be hard to peel away from the new ladder season in d2 by the end of next week) and PoE was just perfectly timed and curated to my specific interests in gaming, been a big fan ever since.

I also really like what they're doing with PoE2, though I tend not to get too invested into 2 since the endgame still needs some work but I really love the combat and visuals.

i sometimes wonder how many hours i put into d2 over the years. i played it (and continue to play resurrected) off and on since its original release. even when i switched to mac in 2011, i had a “dedicated diablo device” until 2021. a lifetime game, for sure. while i played it many times, d3 was not nearly as fun or what i wanted it to be compared to d2. when I discovered PoE, it was everything d3 was lacking (for me), so i instantly became a fan. i don’t think i played it until it came out on ps4 though.
