I audibly gasped when I saw this pop up today. Machinarium was a hugely impactful game for me when I first played it 17 years ago (sheesh) and is still in my like top 3 all-time games, probably. I had given up hope of ever seeing a sequel, but I still buy and enjoy everything else Amanita has ever put out.
This trailer looks phenomenal. The same beautiful hand-drawn graphics style looks better than ever, and I can never get enough of Floex's music, either. Hope there's some nice merch bundles to get when it launches.
Oh I'm looking forward to this, I fell in love with Amaninta's games with the original Machinarium. Plus it means more music from Floex, which is always a joy.

I played Machinarium, it was in the second humble bundles when they were kind of a novelty and you played the games just because they were in them. Can't say I remember anything about it though....

Can't say I remember anything about it though. It's been a long time but I do remember Braid and some of Osmos and Revenge of the Titans

Not much to add to what has already been said but I also loved the original and other Amanita games have been excellent. I posted a little while ago about how a used PS2 and some games broadly got me into gaming. Machinarium is arguably responsible for getting me into PC/Steam gaming . It ignited my love for puzzle games, the art style is memorable and the soundtrack has spent a lot of time as my background coding music. I own the original on multiple platforms and have completed the game several times, including helping friend and family through parts if not the entire game.
All of this to say that I'm greatly looking forward to the sequel

robot boy rescued robot girl and they flew away into the sunset. I'm guessing this one is about their new life together.

This looks quite pretty. What did the ending mean? They yearn for the mines but are stuck in a home?
