It's made in GZDoom, but if you played Mortha previously, apart from the speed of movement and obviously the sprites, the game does not feel the same.

Without going into details it depicts a Gnostic take on the backroom/SCP setting which was well put together. Especially since its not too verbose.

Since I played these game near back to back, I felt like it was a better proposition than CONTROL Resonant for these type of settings (I was just not enjoying the latter, so it was quite the contrast for me)

As someone pretty big into DOOM WADs (and their more official derivatives), I’ve had my eye on this one for a while. I played a little bit of an early demo but was enjoying it enough that I figured I’d wait for the release so I didn’t spoil myself too much.

I recall that, at least in the slice I played, it felt a little big on ammo management, i.e. it leaned into the more survival horror aspect so you never felt like an overpowered war machine. Does the current full product maintain that throughout, or do you eventually start feeling more powerful?

I always had enough of both, but I was never floating neither of them (there is a conservative limit of ammo in place, but the level design will fill you of ammo in between fights)
For the durability there is an upgrade system in the game that can alliviate it completly for one of your weapon.
So you will probably have at least one weapon where the durability is not a problem, but it will cost you enough to postpone some big upgrade to it too. So I can see some quite varied builds.
