Mobile games?
Curious if anyone has found any mobile games that are fun, and are not destroyed with microtransactions.

Alto's Odyssey is a really calming endless runner game, free and any IAP are completely optional. This is the sequel to Alto's Adventure, they're both endless side scrolling skiiing games where you dodge obstacles, get points, and perform tricks, however the best part absolutely has to be the music and art style, calming and endlessly pretty.
Pocket City is a pretty fun city building simulator without any micro transactions.
Does it have timers or any time-gated content?
This thread from last week has some good recommendations. Copying my suggestion from that thread:
I believe I’ve recommend it on Tildes before, Data Wing (also on iOS). This is a completely free (no ads, no IAP) indie game. You can truly tell how much work was put into it. The core is a fun top-down racing game. It’s accompanied by an awesome vaporwave soundtrack, a nice little story with awesome characters, and cool graphics.
This is probably my favourite mobile game, I think everyone should try it.
Bloons Tower Defense 5 is pretty fun. I think its $3.99 on the app store and after that there is no need to spend any more money. I have probably 20 hours or so in it just from playing while killing time, so it meets my $1/hour rule of thumb by a lot.
They recently released Bloons Tower Defense 6 as well which is just as fun imo
Shadowgun Legends., an MMORPG similiar to Destiny. Free, and IAPs are cosmetic. Only downside is that it requires an internet connection to play.
Lost Cities is a great strategic card game with multiplayer.
I found a similar topic on reddit a few days ago where someone mentioned 'Vainglory' and it's the best, closest to a PC game I've touched on a phone.
It's a MOBA, similar to LoL as you'd expect, but extremely well implemented for phones with great controls and deep gameplay. While there is a lot of buying stuff options, I don't feel like it's something you have to do to be able to compete.
If you like MOBAs, you should definitely try it out, game time ranges from 10-25 minutes depending on game mode.
Two games I like are Downwell and Ridiculous Fishing. Neither of them have microtransactions (I believe) and they both have fun gameplay.
Brain It On is great if you like puzzle games. It's gravity/physics based where you draw shapes/lines to achieve the goal. The only MTX are to remove ads and to unlock all puzzles without solving the others (you have to solve most of the puzzles on page 1 to unlock page 2, etc)
