But for most of the people wearing suits, they don't care about any of this - short term numbers reflect positively on them, and so long as they can skip out to another position before the worst happens they don't care how many times they drive reputations and businesses into the ground. The only thing that will stop it is an event so catastrophic that the effect makes all of the perpetrators' actions unviable at once and leaves those at fault with nowhere to run - and I don't see that happening any time soon..
