OH ARE WE HAVING CLOUD SAVES NOW?!????
Jesus, everyone clung to that like crazy. Nobody mentioned it in 2017 and suddenly it became this huge "symbol" of everything wrong with Nintendo online services. And now they realize it's still not enough, lol. People are complaining that somehow 10 free NES games (with online multiplayer and more to come) isn't enough and are already mourning the Virtual Console where you would have paid $5 a pop. Fact is, Nintendo doesn't want to associate its brand with the cesspool that is online chat. That's the story, really. Love it or hate it, they made that decision. Everything else is moot.

app that connects to your Nintendo Switch system via your linked Nintendo Account to provide an online
lobby and voice chat for compatible multiplayer games.
Subscribers will also get to download and play a classic game for free for a month, and will receive discount
offers on select digital games.
Please note that online multiplayer gaming will be free until the paid service launches in 2018. Data charges

More information about the online service will be announced soon, so please stay tuned.

Where did you see this? Here, I see no mention of it. On the NES-online site, they're always using plural. Or do you mean something different?
