Since open world games are a favorite of mine, its always disappointing to hear news like this. But on the other hand, I'm not sure I'd trust EA with a project like this anyways. Their habit of cutting projects short and heavily monetizing them has left an awful taste in my mouth.

I imagine that's exactly what we were going to get so I'm okay continuing on with my life as if this game had never even been announced.
