Remember Watch_Dogs? Remember No Man’s Sky at release? Maybe Underworld Ascendant? Cinematic trailers are neat to build up hype and all, but higher expectations may result in a more painful crash...
I agree. I think the game looks beautiful, and even if it doesn't convince with its gameplay, the trailer seemed like a nice piece of art in itself. I'm curious how it will turn out.

Definitely true. As mentioned, this is from some of the core team behind Hawken, which had its own impressive "early prototype from a small team" trailer that (if I remember right) the game itself...
There's a comment on the video by one of the devs saying that this is being developed by the core team that was behind Hawken:

Hi all! this is the dev. We are so happy to see all the positive comments! Please share and help spread the words to make this game a reality. And YES! 80% of the videos recorded are network replicated gameplay footages from a modified UE4 replay system. If you're a game dev, you can appreciate the difficulty to make creature climbing multiplayer working. And we mostly have it! only a few visual kinks left to polish. Will have more updates as we get close to GDC. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch the long trailer. We know it's a bit too long :P Also, if you're a fan of an old mech game called Hawken, we are the same core developers. Many of your guesses for our inspiration are dead on. SOTC, BOTW, Nausicaa, Mononoke, Harvest Moon, Don't Starve Together!
Not only that, theres only 6 core developers and they developed it over the course of 12 months (according to the youtube description). Absolutely incredible!

Definitely true. As mentioned, this is from some of the core team behind Hawken, which had its own impressive "early prototype from a small team" trailer that (if I remember right) the game itself may have never fully lived up to. It had a pretty troubled development though, and this trailer has a lot of impressive aspects, so I'm really interested in seeing what comes out of it anyway.
