I'm amazed that CoD didn't abandon the campaign earlier, I don't think they've had an engaging single player mode since Black Ops 1.
The size of the map is the most interesting thing about the battle royale mode. Most CoD maps are tiny in comparison to games like Battlefield or Halo, so maybe it'll be a good thing? Snipers might dominate the game, though.

Currently I don't care for any of the battle royales on the market, but that's because they have shallow shooting mechanics that just don't feel right and are aggressively unfun. Maybe the game mode could actually work in something with solid gunplay.

The adding of past maps to the BR map is a wise and interesting choice. It'll help bring back the nostalgia.
