I like Harry Potter, and I still play Pokemon Go-- though I admittedly only play it because my friends do. It is not a fun game, but the social aspect/going about in the real world and seeing other players is a neat factor that I'd like to see explored more.
All it'd take for me to enjoy Pokemon Go more is to just friggin' tell me upfront how good the Pokemon I caught is compared to others. It's ridiculous that I need a second app or have to talk to the appraiser for every single Pokemon.
If this is more fluid than that, and a bit more quality-of-life things considered, I'll totally get more into it. Pokemon Go felt like they stumbled on a goldmine, had a bunch of players, and then kind of squandered where to go from there.
The "you can earn everything" quote is silly though. I imagine it's pretty much like any microtranscation game wherein everything "earnable" takes ridiculously long to get to.
There's an interview on Eurogamer here, which includes some information about some of the game mechanics and why they decided not to have competition between the Houses in the game:...

I'm not sure if things have changed since but the two big things that turned me off is the battery saver wasn't there, the turn the phone upside down thing, and then the adventure sync. Admittedly that wasn't as big of an issue as the battery saver but since it's the same company as PoGo I felt it should have been included day one.

Hmm, will it run on the Android Q beta I wonder? I've been struggling to get PoGo working D:

The interview says they're not going to have houses compete with each other. It doesn't say that houses won't be in the game at all.
True, thanks. I'm not sure if they're included in the game but just don't separate people into "teams".
