I really enjoyed Mini Metro and am looking forward to this one coming to PC eventually too. There's no particular date set yet, but their blog post about it just says that they had to focus on the Apple Arcade version first and that they'll work on the PC version after things settle down a little.

It looks like it's available for Android through Google Play Pass too.

This actually brings up an interesting question about Google Play pass. It seems to be an impulsive response to Apple Arcade, where existing games that did cost money on Google Play have been repriced to free. Apple intentionally isn't that open about revenue for developers through Apple Arcade, but what has leaked through the grapevine is that Apple's Arcade contracts are more like Epic Games exclusives: negotiated individually to get developers at or beyond a comfortable break even point (regardless of playtime), with a bonus system for performance. Google, so far, has said that Play Pass is going to recoup developers based on playtime, which is not in any way the best way to do it.
Also, now that I think more about it, it also puts Google at extremely awkward crossroads—Play Pass puts them in competition with....themselves? Google Stadia is due to launch quite soon, and if you ignore the streaming bits and just look at the titles and numbers, this sits between the Apple Arcade and something like Xbox Game Pass in the market. Would Dinosaur Polo Club—an indie developer that has shipped titles on consoles—be more interested in going to Play Pass over Stadia for their newest title (when Apple Arcade exclusivity is up)? I......well, yeah, I don't think so. Google is in a sticky wicket right now, trying to put too many fingers in the pie.
So, I tried playing Mini Motorways on iPadOS Beta this morning through Apple Arcade, and it completely locks up every 20min or so and then crashes a few seconds after that... which is a shame,...

Oh shit, you're right. It is Mini Metro on Google Play Pass, not Motorways. (@Adys)
I'll remove that line from my post, thanks for pointing that out.
It sounds like Mini Metro is a ton of fun either way, both games look interesting to me :)
Yeah, Mini Metro was great. And I recently signed up for Apple Arcade too, so this is perfect timing for me. Thanks for the heads up. :)
Oh cool, this might actually get me to try out Google Play Pass.
