I am disappointed whenever I see the word "exclusive" when it comes to games. The only reason I bought an Xbox 360 was to play RDR and a few of the exclusive and then it just collected dust for years. I will likely have to do the same to play Horizon Zero Dawn, RDR2, Death Stranding and a few other PS4 exclusives as well. I hate it and it just feels like such a greedy move that gets me to waste my money on consoles every generation. :/
Unfortunately exclusives are a natural free market decision. Find some really good IP, pay a good amount of money for exclusive rights, and use that as a selling point for your console. Both...

Worse still, the first console exclusive games could be seen as greed, but now you basically need console exclusives if you want to be able to compete. If you have console A that has a collection of exclusive games and console B that has no exclusives, then the consumer will naturally select console A and console B will end up a terrible failure of a product.

I feel like all 'Exclusive' means nowadays is "bigger company pays smaller company millions of dollars to develop only for them". It's like putting DRM on a Keurig: they can all make coffee and know how to make coffee, but these are made "special" for Keurig. Then let people's tribalistic tendencies kick in and let them fight over which console is better, even though at this point they are just glorified proprietary PC's both inside and out, hardware and software included.

Don't buy a console for exclusives. It's why they keep doing it.
Is it not a timed exclusive? I mean I've a PS4 (well, my wife) but I was pretty sure it was just a matter of delayed release
I hope at the very least it is a timed exclusive, however everything I have seen has indicated it will only be available for the PS4.
I'm fairly certain Sony is bankrolling Kojima's new studio, so it might very well be an exclusive exclusive.
