I'm really excited to try this, but I won't be buying it yet, as I've spent too much money this month but also because I've plenty to play right now. But it looks really exciting!

That's exactly what I was thinking too. And Mark of the Ninja is one of my favorite stealth games too, so I am definitely going to check Wildfire out. p.s. Humble - Steam - GOG links for the lazy....

p.s. Humble - Steam - GOG links for the lazy. I would recommend buying from Humble, since it 's cheaper and provides a Steam key anyways.

And yeah, I always try to buy from Humble when I can. Especially since they're the publishers on this one. I think it's only cheaper there if you have a Humble Monthly subscription (Which I highly recommend for anyone that doesn't have one)

And oops, I forgot about the discount being from my Humble Monthly sub... but yeah, even so, it's still probably the best place to buy it, so the devs get the most cut from the sale.
Just finished watching the run... your friend seemed to struggle a bit in certain parts (esp at the very end), but that was still really f'n impressive! That woodcutting was well deserved. :)

So I just played this for a few hours, and TBH I don't really know how I feel about it yet. Unlike Mark of the Ninja, which @PapaNachos and I talked about above, this game feels a lot less fluid and dynamic, and a lot more meticulous. It almost feels like a puzzle game with stealth + time trial elements. The character's upgrade path is very linear as well, which is a bit disappointing/annoying... especially since as a result of all that, the developers clearly expect you to go back to previous levels you have already passed once you have unlocked certain powers later, in order to get the various hidden items you couldn't pick up before, and beat certain level objectives, many of which are time based and which net you more upgrade points.
So yeah, mixed feelings so far. Although to be fair, that could just be because the game is not really what I was expecting, and not necessarily that there is anything is wrong with it. And I intend to keep playing it, so that says something, at least. :P edit: And TBH I could be playing it kinda wrong too, by not using the fire enough, and treating it too much like a pure stealth game. But using the fire is a bit odd, since it makes the pathing of the guards much more unpredictable, and you can actually screw yourself pretty bad by removing cover, or even preventing yourself from finishing the level if you accidentally set fire to the wrong things.

I remember seeing this a few weeks ago, I didn't realize it was out already. I'm really eager to try it. It reminds me of Mark of the Ninja.

Yup! That's his run, you can actually see the piece sitting on the couch.
