For the Awards, absolutely agree with FF7R as best RPG. Honestly I think it was my personal GOTY, it truly has, to this day, the best character modeling I've ever seen. They mocapped everything, I've never seen a game where it can be difficult to tell when it's a movie cutscene as opposed to a game cutscene. Now, the doors and random parts of the geometry look like they came straight from a PS2 game, but overall I think it's a good tradeoff (if it had to be at tradeoff), after all you spend way more time staring at the main characters than doors. Even after playing Cyberpunk, nope, FF7R models still look and move better.
Also, beyond just being a great reimaging of the original classic's (...although it only covers like 1/3 or even 1/4 of the OG game), there are layers. It's subtle, but oh god, if you dig deep, it blows your mind. Like 4 times. A little worrying, to be honest, because the next parts could easily become a Kingdom Hearts esque clusterfuck but at least for now it's well executed.
Among Us for best multiplayer game is also well deserved, I feel. It's straight up become a zeitgeist for 2020. There are US congresspeople streaming Among Us.
If you haven't yet, this is the best theory on Aerith and the FF7R And how it is very likely that this remake, isn't a remake, but an entirely different story being set up. I absolutely love it,...

I absolutely love it, and makes me even more excited. Especially when you read the article on Whispers - (https://finalfantasy.fandom.com/wiki/Whispers_(VII_Remake).
I get that there aren't that many simulator-esque games out there compared to other genres, but what's up with putting them in the same category as strategy games? The lineup was literally four...

By far the best game of the year.
