It's essentially just bundling all 3 games together, remastering the assets/effects to bring them all up to modern 4K standards, plus slightly updating them with some basic QoL stuff (e.g. faster load times, skipable elevator rides, Mako controls/physics revamp, better companion AI, etc).
Don’t expect to play through the beloved sci-fi series and find anything new in terms of previously cut content or tweaked storylines, which means that yes, that controversial ending is still in there. Even so, I was struck while reviewing comparison shots of the older games versus the spruced-up versions, which will be playable in 4K and HDR.

This is encouraging. My main hope is that ME1 gets a bit of a lift in terms of gameplay, to bring it closer into line with the rest of the series. I played through ME1 something like 11 times in total, trying to completely 100% all the achievements it with NG+ after NG+, setting myself up for the exact run I wanted to take for to carry into ME2. So I know that game inside and out, and it'll be nice to experience it with a little bit of a facelift, but also some genuine QoL improvements to the gameplay.
I expected more from such a long wait. I don’t want the gameplay changed but a remake style remaster was more of what I was looking for. Or like a Halo Anniversary style thing where it just wears...

Kind of a bummer. The original games aren’t ugly enough to not replay as is so I was hoping for way more oomph of an effort here.

I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favorite improvement on the game.
The OG games are all on EA Pass. Never played one to completion. Maybe I’ll wait.
