But keto is great. It's varied, it's effective, and you can get really creative with balancing your macros out. You don't really have to give much up, but I will say that I really miss rice :(
It's not. Have you been to a doctor? I only point this out because I was diagnosed with body dysmorphic disorder some time ago, and recognition is the first step. If it's not BDD and just a desire...

If it's not BDD and just a desire to look good to your preferred sex, I'd suggest relying less on the number and more on the mirror.
Oh, it's confusing. It's a bit of "I'm doing this for myself", and a bit of "I'm doing this to look appealing/attractive". I'm not sure it fits the criteria for dysmorphia, but then again I didn't...

"relying less on the number, and more on the mirror" sounds like really good advice though, thank you.
Do you miss rice, or do you just miss the stuff that you can put on rice? The sauces and herbs and spices? Because you can still have all that (well, most of it). Try cauliflower rice. Or riced...

Cauliflower rife is better suited for eating with sauces and vegetables than Sushi, though, so that won't be much help.
That's like replying to someone saying "I miss sandwiches" with "There is always ham". Just because there is sometimes raw fish on sushi, that isn't really the essence of it. Speaking of which...

Speaking of which when I was on keto, sandwiches were what broke me, I missed them so much, lettuce wraps are such a pain to make and not a real substitute (for the reason I mentioned above). I ended up going calorie restricted not macro and was much happier and successful in my endeavour.
Does it taste the same as a proper loaf out of the oven? No, but, it does the minimum to keep me convinced that I'm eating a sandwich. But I'm also not a real foody so take my review with a grain of salt.
I'm doing lazy keto, myself. I just try to keep myself under 20 grams of (net) carbs a day. I don't really count macros (carb/protein/fat ratios). I've lost 55 lbs since last summer. I started...

I started doing it after my girlfriend got on it when she was diagnosed possibly pre-diabetic. It is a lot easier doing it with another person.
She had to go off strict keto because her A1Cs were getting too low.
One thing that happens on keto is that your taste buds start getting resensitized to sugar (the standard American diet desensitizes you to it). After a while on keto, normally sugary foods taste way too sweet for comfort.
Thanks. I am gearing up to do it next week. What you are doing sounds very sensible. I am going to do some reading and figure out a shopping list for about 3 weeks in advance. Fingers crossed,...

I've done low-carb, but never keto consistently. It's one of the fastest ways to lose weight, in my experience (low carb that is, but keto by extension). I still eat fairly low carb, but I feel...

I still eat fairly low carb, but I feel better with some carbs around weighttraining sessions.

There's always Sashimi

Fair about the sushi/sashimi. For what it's worth, I missed sandwiches as well, but found legitimate bread alternatives:

I am not, but have heard good things. Would you be willing to share your preferred guides or information sources? I have been considering trying it.

Ok, thanks!
Thanks for all that!

I've done it in the past, but I can't anymore. It's just too hard to lift while on keto.
