Does anybody here practice yoga?

I've found it to be an excellent stress reliever, and it makes my back feel better.

I had been considering it. I'd like to try at home to see how I like it before committing time and money to some studio, but couldn't find an app or program that was both actually free. So many "Get started totally free! for this 2 minute intro, then $10 per real session download and a monthly subscription".

A lot of studios here have instructors that walk around and offer small corrections that really help to improve your practice and let you know how a correct pose should feel.

I'll see if there's any drop in classes around here and what costs are (recently moved to a different country and am still figuring out what's available in all departments, heh)

I'd recommend just finding a beginner's guide that shows a quick routine and stick with it; see if you like it. Here's a good routine that I've found enjoyable. edit: I notice ~Catt suggested this...

edit: I notice ~Catt suggested this channel already. Is good stuff, yes!

Me too! I like to either add it after my Friday practice or separately on Sunday. I find it's the perfect reset.

I have some shoulder pain myself, and that's very interesting to me! Mind sharing some links? Hope your rotator cuff has improved!

I did restorative and flow in class, so I don't have good links for what I started with. However, there are a lot of "office" routines for shoulders, neck and back that are really good, such as this one. As for specific poses, I still love plank and side-plank (though when I was injured, I had to modify for my injured side) for strength; child's, cat-cow, downward dog, and later dolphin to open, and sun salutation to warm up, or when I'm lazy, the better than nothing routine.

Edit: I should also mention, I did do months of physio before starting yoga.

I say this as someone who's had multiple surgical interventions on both shoulders.

I do. I've used different kinds of yoga plus a heap of research to fix my low back pain, prevent minor running injuries, fix form and flexibility issues, and manage my TMJ pain for years. I do not go to classes though. I find that I have to be extremely slow, careful to keep my form perfect, and really breathe into a position, wriggle around, warm up. And I do all this as I feel my body needs me to, not according to instruction or sequence. So I can't really go to classes, which sucks as I'm missing out on learning!

My point being.... if you're going to classes or following videos and it's not doing you much good, consider the slow approach. Do 5 targeted poses properly instead of trying to do a a full sun salutation sequence in a half hour. Has kept me in the game!
