I only started exercising for the first time a couple of months ago. I'm at 3 days per week of mostly cardio (spin class), with the occasional full body workout class. Now that I actually enjoy it I want to get to 5 days per week by adding in some running. But I have bad knees, even at 24, and I'm not sure if that's a good idea.

As someone with bad joints, I found that knee sleeves were particularly helpful for anything that heavily uses the knees - squats, lunges, leg lifts, etc. You may want to look into buying a pair...

I also pretty much recommend to anyone with any joint pain to try out supplementing glucosamine. The kind of glucosamine and what else is supplemented along side it don't really matter a whole lot. I just pick up the cheapest and biggest bottle I can.

I hope I find a new gym soon. I moved to a denser area and all the gyms around here are absolutely packed even at off-peak hours that I can make. To compensate I'm still moving around a lot and keeping up on protein to maintain the good deal of muscle I already have, but as much as I intellectually appreciate the benfits of density, it really isn't something I like and lifting isn't something I like that much to get over myself for this. I might double down on hiking to compensate but that's not lifting, a home setup doesn't interest me either.

I've been so busy I haven't had a chance to lift at all. Gotten in a decent amount of dancing, as usual via clubs/festivals & beat saber. I need to really prioritize some shorter lifting sessions....

I need to really prioritize some shorter lifting sessions. Might be a good way to get in some extra work capacity by doing supersets with minimal resting. I bet I could get in a decent 6 exercise full body under 30 minutes.

I do 3 supersets in 50 minutes give or take.

      Today was:

      • Bench ss Lat Pulldown (90s seconds rest between exercises)
      • OHP ss Rows (60 seconds rest between exercises)
      • Dips ss Curls (45 seconds between exercises)

It took some time because bench was 7 sets today, but i managed to finish in 50 minutes. Squat days are a little harder, but can be done if you stick to the rest times.

This year I've been focusing pretty heavy on working capacity since my cardio used to be terrible and I've had a shoulder injury so I've had to keep it lighter.
