      We won't be stuck inside that long. My guess is that by mid-summer at the latest we'll be in some kind of quasi-normal state. People will need to wear masks when they can and large gatherings (amusement parks, theaters, concerts) will be disallowed. But we may be able to go like that for a while before needing to lockdown a second time.

      Optimistically, we may only go through a couple of cycles of this before there's an effective cure.

      Some will be able to do it, some won't. In a rich country, if you have enough money coming in, staying at home is a lot like being retired, and people do adjust. Retirees can do it so why can't...

      Some will be able to do it, some won't. In a rich country, if you have enough money coming in, staying at home is a lot like being retired, and people do adjust. Retirees can do it so why can't you?

      That all depends on the money being there though, and having a stable living situation at home. Hopefully Congress will come through on the money.

      It also assumes that enough "essential" businesses keep going. I expect the definition of "essential" gets looser as weeks turns into months.

      Separate from this, though, is whether there is the political will to keep it going. We are starting to see protests already, such as in Michigan.
