    I remember that being one of the first viral videos I ever saw on the internet, and that was in a time well before video streaming sites really existed (though well after the event took place). I even burned a copy onto CDs to share it with a bunch of friends at school, along with some other funny videos that were making the rounds.

      I remember hearing about this as a kid in the 90s, and it blew my mind seeing it the first time when I got broadband. I had been convinced it was a story. Who blows up a whale? Apparently Oregon.
