2064: Read Only Memories is a well-known and well-received point-and-click adventure. It didn't grip me enough to see it through to the end, but I do think it's very well made and can definitely see why other people love it. (Game length: ~10 hours)
A Mortician's Tale is a short adventure game that has you preparing different bodies for burial. The game is explicitly didactic, and through emails and conversations you learn about different burial processes. I liked it. (Game length: ~1 hour)
A Normal Lost Phone has you finding someone else's phone a sifting through its contents in order to learn about its owner. I really enjoyed this one. (Game length: ~1.5 hours)
I will note however for those that dislike a lot of unnecessary emails. When you do this, you add yourself to every single game's/developer's itch email list. Thanks for the ideas. I'll take a look at them.
If you purchase this, the script that ~kfwyre found during the Ukraine bundle proves useful for adding them all to your itch library: https://tildes.net/~games/10mh/itch_io_bundle_for_ukraine#comment-75xa
