    I heard on the radio this morning that two of the conservative judges voted with the four liberal judges on the court to support this ruling. I hate that America's Supreme Court is so politicised that judges vote along party lines, but I'm glad that two of the judges decided to break that tradition in this case.

      US Supreme Court justices don't necessarily vote along a party line and there's no tradition demanding it so, but it is commonly understood that a judge's preferences and opinions are known...

      US Supreme Court justices don't necessarily vote along a party line and there's no tradition demanding it so, but it is commonly understood that a judge's preferences and opinions are known beforehand and that the President, being a political actor, will pick the judges whose opinions align with those of their party.
