We adopted another husky, Willow, about a month ago and both our girls act like they've been together since they were born. Willow had a tough time at the shelter before the rescue pulled her, but you would never know it now! Willow & Sylvie
Husky's eyes always amaze me. Such beautiful puppers! :)

So I've got this cat who takes the canonical Tumblr meme, "How To Tell Your Cat That You Could Walk To His Food Faster If He Weren't Weaving Under Your Fucking Feet In A Beautiful And Intricate Idiot's Ballet", to the next level. Dash makes Miette seem like an amateur.
The adorable moron tries to wrap himself around my ankles while I'm walking or descending stairs. He'll fall over and try to sack out on my feet while I'm in motion. He'll claim my chair seat as I'm sitting down. He'll excitedly run in front of me when I'm on the way to feed him, so he can stop suddenly and take a relaxing stretch... a drastic speed bump at 15 pounds of cat.
Neither of us have sustained serious injury yet, but I would love ideas on how to gently discourage this behavior. He's really rather clever about some things (opening doors, recognizing his name and coming when called, heeling when walking on a leash, etc.), and very human-attached (shoulder- and lap-sitter) for a cat. What would be more rewarding for Dash than rubbing himself on every accessible limb of his unsteady bipedal companion at the worst possible times?
Our boy Sterling also loves to get underfoot. Last week he jumped off a table thinking I was going to feed him (I was walking away from the bowls...) he built up such a head of steam his forehead actually hurt my shin with how fast he ran into me. He literally fell backwards like I kicked him. I desperately apologized and he immediately took a couple steps forward and flopped hard, while purring and asking for pets.
I love him. He is dumb. I say all of this to let you know that punting Dash won't help teach him to not risk his brain cells or limbs.
Shrug?
