    My favorite part is how <30% of Americans support slavery reparations. Probably the main reason Bernie and Biden both dance around the issue.

    That's at least 70% of the country that is in substantial denial about how hard black people have been fucked over by the USA since before it became the USA.

    In fairness to Bernie, he's looking to make the broadest social changes that will go a long way to reducing income inequality, which should help lift up the dis-proportionally high percentage of minorities in poverty. A lot of his platform also focuses on eliminating the persistent and systemic racism still present in the system. Those are a damn fine first step, which will at least stop the racial divide from continuing to get worse.

    I found it humorous how <30% of people overall support "reparations", yet >70% who support it are black. To be fair, though, were I both black and was not the sort of person who struggles with whether I should take advantage of broken parts of the system for my own gain (thereby indirectly stealing from people, since it's also their taxes that fund it), id probably support it too.
