    Weirdly my predictions from a month ago were more accurate than my predictions from yesterday. As I had Fabelmans winning both Director and Drama and Banshees winning Comedy.

    I was convinced to predict Daniels in Director due to the recent trend of the critic front-runner winning. As well as Fabelmans apparent loss of steam.

    Still, I breathed a sigh of relief when Spielberg won Director. And I’m also glad Banshees won Comedy. Fabelmans and Banshees are much better movies than EEAAO and I’m glad that they won out in the end.

    What that means for the Oscar? In recent years movies to win Picture at the Oscar’s without a Picture win here include CODA, Parasite, Shape of Water, Spotlight, Birdman, and The King’s Speech. CODA was the most atypical Picture winner ever, Parasite wasn’t eligible for either category, Shape of Water won Director, and Birdman won Screenplay. Which leaves us with Spotlight and King’s Speech as EEAAO’s path to the big Oscar. It’s still in it to win it, but this was a bit of a blow to it.

      I ended up with 11 right. I jumped to Naatu Naatu for best song but jumped back to that dumb Maverick one.. I should have left it. How did you do?

        Pretty bad! Got both Pictures, Director, Score, Song, Supporting Actress, and International Feature wrong. If I had kept my predictions from a month ago I would have at least gotten the two...

        On the TV side I got 46% right. Not even the House of the Dragon people thought they were gonna win, that’s why they got so drunk lol.

              oh yeah, of course! haha. i should just get my crew to use that next time. i’ve made up a simple, but effective sheet for pools.
