Look at how The Rings of Power has fared. I don’t think I’ve heard one person talking about it. It just doesn’t have the cultural penetration that the original films did.

In the broader context it did lose any cultural impact it would have had to House of the Dragon. Those two were dueling it out for attention and Dragon won. Didn’t help that Andor was also going...

Yeah, I have heard good things about HotD and Andor as well. They're also on my watchlist. :)
