Dammit. I didn't have a spare half-hour to watch that whole video! But I couldn't stop.
Actually, it was extremely informative. And mostly well presented, even if the narrator does fancy himself as a bit of an "ACTOR". :P
I didn't realise 'Snow White' was such a big hit in its day. I'd always assumed it just acquired classic status through repeated showings to generations of children.
You'd be surprised just how little of that is affected just for the video! He's a wonderfully eccentric guy, one of my favourite people.
Off topic: The guy who made the video is my friend, but it's a great and insightful watch. He's trying to get a YouTube channel off the ground, so any of the usual Algorithmic interaction you can do with the video would be really appreciated!
I was super surprised to see this channel only had 36 subscribers, given the quality of the video. Now it makes sense though, since it's so new. Tell your friend they did a great job, and earned themselves a new subscriber. :)
Great video, thanks for sharing. Reminds me of the deep dives Defunctland has done into Disney history and that's one of my favourite channels on YouTube.
Is it a mix of general content your friend is focusing on, anything that takes his fancy for instance or will he be focusing on a specific subject like Disney, animation, American culture etc?
He's planning to work his way through the Disney canon before turning his attention to other animation houses, but if I know him and how the creative process in general works, there will be lots of sidetracks along the way 😅
This was delightful! It spoke to my musical theatre heart - he'll gain a lot of MT need followers as he moves through Disney films that went to the stage. 😊
