Hmm, on the one hand looks like it could be good and some sci-fantasy films could be fun as something not being done to death at the moment.
On the other, there are a lot of main characters and it's spread across two movies, so it gives too-many-cooks-vibes like Justice League.
And then there's Zack Snyder who has some good works, some just okay works, and a lot of utter shit. The other writers are Kurt Johnstad and Shay Hatten who's filmographies are also nothing to be that proud of.

I think the only truly great movie Zack Snyder has done is Watchmen. It's a fantastic film and I think almost all of the changes to the source material were for the better. Dawn of the Dead and Legend of the Guardians are both just good.
The two writers are...interesting. Shay Hatten wrote Army of the Dead, which was awful and embodies the worst of Zack Snyder's filmmaking. But then again, he also wrote John Wick 3 and 4, as well as Day Shift, which were all fun.
If it was anybody but Zack Snyder directing, I'd be willing to give the movie the benefit of the doubt.
