I know it’s been a while since Francis Ford Coppola last made a film, and outside of Godfather part 1 and 2, Dracula, and Apocalypse Now, I’ve seen very little of his filmography. Are there any good films from him that I should see to get a feel on his more modern films? I have zero idea what the premise of Megalopolis is, and it seems like a film that’s best seen going into blind.

I was trying to find an RLM video where they talk about modern Coppola, they were specifically talking about Twixt during one of their round ups. And they were mimicking an old man going “what we can make background on green screen? Let’s make a movie on green screen, make sure to get a big one though.” And this reminded me of that.

This looks absolutely phenomenal, the vibes are exactly what I was expecting and hoping for. Extremely excited for this release.

The Conversation is excellent. I'd put it up there with The Godfather and Apocalypse Now. Rumble Fish and The Outsiders are also very good.
Thanks! Just added these to my list of movies. Hopefully I’ll have time to see The Conversation either this weekend or next!
My pleasure! You're in for a treat.

Yeah doesn’t look good honestly.

Shots like those in this clip have relied on VFX in some form or another since Buster Keaton was making movies, so I'm not sure I get the derision.
It’s not that it uses VFX, it’s that it looks bad. It’s very ugly on top of not looking real.
