    For those keeping track of the awards season (just me), this doesn’t necessarily mean this is now a major Oscar player. Reviews for it were pretty tepid, and it seems to be more of a career award for Almodovar, but you never know.

    The Brutalist is the film that really shook the festival with many people calling it a masterpiece. It’s a nearly four hour old school epic, and it’s from the director of 2018’s Vox Lux. The film still has no U.S distributor but everyone seems confident in its awards chances.
