I haven't seen News of the World or United 93 or 22 July (unlikely I'll ever watch the latter two due to their subject matter), but I think Green Zone is seriously underrated. And both of his Bourne movies were decent enough too. However, the person really selling me on this one is not Greengrass but McConaughey. I really like him as an actor, and as a human being. I also can't even think of a movie with him starring in it that I've watched and ended up disliking.
I will have to check out News of the World now though, since I do love Westerns and somehow missed that one. Looking at the user reviews, the biggest complaint seems to be that it's "boring" and "slow"... which is an element I actually like about Westerns as a genre. Their generally slower pace allows for more appreciation of the cinematography and the landscape they were filmed in.
Looks great.
I think I’m in the minority of liking Greengrass’s last film News of the World. One of the best of 2020, a thoroughly engaging western.
