I think there is plenty to put into such a story. Miyagi's own training under his father. How his friendship with Soto got fracture. His family life. His lost love who stayed in Japan. WWII. The Japanese internment camps. How Migyagi arrived at his personal philosophy, etc.
I feel like we get just enough of that in Karate Kid Part II. I’m not a fan of franchises explaining every little detail of the past as a way to generate new content. A great example of how wrong...

A great example of how wrong that type of thing can go is The Many Saints of Newark.
I edited the title to reflect that. Let me know if you think it's sufficient to make it more clear now. p.s. I also added artificial intelligence and videos.generative to the tags too, since it...

p.s. I also added artificial intelligence and videos.generative to the tags too, since it was pretty clearly created using generative AI, and I suspect some people might want to filter this sort of thing out.

Most people also don't read the comments first before clicking the links so it's better to have clarity in the title, IMO, especially since it's not always guaranteed that the OPs comment will remain at the top even if they did write one to clarify things.
I know it feels like a personal attack when someone complains about the title being misleading. I know it feels like a personal criticism when someone else edits the title. But this isn't about...

But this isn't about anything you did wrong.
It's about me. I read the title, formed a wrong conclusion, and got overly excited.
CFabbro edited the title to avoid others also accidentally forming the wrong conclusion.
Your original comment called this out, which is great.
Usually the community rule is to follow the title of the original post.
Sometimes the community decides the original post is using a misleading title.
A24 or A25 or whatever they are usually use "Teaser trailer concept" not "Official trailer concept."
They are the ones who created a misleading title and they should not be rewarded by having that title copied word for word on this forum IMHO.
I just want to second this, @BeanBurrito. This isn't about anything you did wrong. This is 100% the fault of the channel for being misleading/clickbaity in their original title. IMO, even their...
I just want to second this, @BeanBurrito. This isn't about anything you did wrong. This is 100% the fault of the channel for being misleading/clickbaity in their original title. IMO, even their channel name, A25 Trailers, is kinda scummy and misleading too by trying to make it seem as if they have some association with A24 (which AFAICT, they don't!).
But regardless of all that, I hope my editing the title here didn't come off as an attack against yourself, or as if I disapprove of the submission itself. That was not my intent, I swear! I just wanted to help clarify things so other users here didn't get similarly misled and get their hopes up that this really was an "Official" trailer, like nic did (and I originally did too). The movie concept is actually pretty cool though, and I think a Mr Miyagi focused movie could be great. So thanks for sharing it.

Title is misleading.
I know the youtube link uses the title "Official trailer concept", but this is anything but.

artificial intelligenceandvideos.generativeto the tags too, since it was pretty clearly created using generative AI, and I suspect some people might want to filter this sort of thing out.cool, ab fab, bro!
Why was that necessary when my comment, the first comment stated at the start that it was not a real trailer?

The first sentence of my comment ( the first comment ) states that it is not a real trailer.
What do you want?
