Wow I forgot that was released this year! Very strong contender for my personal favorite of the year, but probably slightly beat out by One Battle After Another. The music and the overall tone was just so fun. The perfect level of fun and campy (particularly with the blood) while still being serious and compelling.
I think Sinners edges out for me even though One Battle After Another is a good movie, mainly because I think Sinners is more timeless, but I also personally have an aversion to incompetent...
