Sooo why are people so excited for this? It looks fine for indie and I’m all for more indie stuff, but there seems to be an oh my god it finally got made vibe I’m not getting

Not really, it's just we are ridiculously low on new pirate-type media, especially movies. Plus, it's an indie film without any major backers, which is exciting in itself for how high quality this...

Edit: They also have been documenting their filming on socials in real time for awhile, and that extreme behind-the-scenes process is cool to watch happen.
