Oh I'm definitely going to go see this! I've liked all of Eggers' films and even my least favorite of his (The Northman) was still quite enjoyable. I actively dislike werewolf & vampire stuffs in general and genuinely enjoyed his take on Nosferatu, so hopefully I will have a similar experience with this.

Regardless, personally, I demand werewolves that actually look like wolves. None of this "it's a guy with weird stretched out body parts" stuff, that could just be a movie about any monster. You've gotta commit to the wolf bit imo.
Maybe I'm missing it, but I didn't actually see a creature I'd call a werewolf in that trailer. I saw a semi-feral guy who at some point had a wolf pelt put over him, a bunch of religious imagery,...

I saw a semi-feral guy who at some point had a wolf pelt put over him, a bunch of religious imagery, and something going on with his eyes at the end, but I don't think it explicitly showed the monster.
I kind of got the impression that a lot of the movie is going to be a question about whether or not he genuinely transforms or if he's just a wild and bestial killer.

All I can think of when I see the title are jokes from MST3K.
