Warner Bros had a great 2025. And they’ve been suffering this year. Wuthering Heights remains their highest grossing film at only 240M.

Their bet on director driven films didn’t work out this year with The Bride and The End of Oak Street flopping. And their IP films have also been missing with Supergirl and now Practical Magic 2.

The original was also a box office flop, but one would assume the decades it spent building a following would have translated to higher ticket sales. It also doesn’t help that audiences were muted on the film itself. This was positioning itself as a Beetlejuice Beetlejuice type of film but clearly that franchise has a bigger fanbase.

WB has Digger, Clayface and Dune: Part Three left for the rest of the year. Dune is at least a guaranteed hit. But, Digger is sporting a near 150M dollar budget and from what I know about it is going to be weird and alienate a lot of audiences as the marketing materials are being extremely misleading as to what the film is. Clayface might do all right and it at least has a lower budget.
